Who Says DFs Are Lazy!?

Hard Work Ditch Clearing @ SA

Time was short and the wind was bracing but DFs at recent event Spring Awakening 2009 took up the gloves and blades to attack the massive brambles that had overtaken drainage ditches along side a camping field at Woodcraft’s centre Park Farm.

The work followed a workshop with 2 workers from Junction49, who work with young people across the country enabling them to work out their own voluntary projects and get the person power to make them work.

Thanks to all DFs who took part and to Conor Whelan, Committee’s Affiliation’s Rep, for pulling it together with Junction49.

I saw Conor running around very enthusiastically trying to gather people to do this & thought it was a great idea!

DFs doing this @ Centres across the country would be amazin! Would up our profile with Woodcraft as a whole & would give people an oppourtunity to do things they wouldn’t do elsewhere.

    All best,
    Willx

It was fun. I agree that it’s a great way for DFs to improve our standing. And it’s close to Woodcraft roots, which it’s important we don’t forget.

    Thank-you Junction49!
