Whether you’re straight, gay, lesbian, asexual, confused or somewhere in between them all you should get involved with the Rainbow Network!
Tackling issues of identity, sexuality and gender, the Rainbow Network looks to actively educate DFs in anything from coming out and sexism to intersex and queer theory. Informal workshops ensure that anyone can get involved, no matter who you are!
If you’re wondering where to find us, we have a regular presence at DF events and at future national summer camps. We’re also hoping to run a Woodcraft Rainbow seminar in the near future. Plus, we get lots of opportunities to travel across Europe to learn lots of new Rainbow-orientated ideas and exchange ideas with people from both our mother organisation, IFM-SEI, and external Rainbow/ LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, bisexual, Transgender) organisations.

So where do you come into it? Whether you want to get involved with helping to run the Rainbow Network, facilitate a workshop, suggest a Rainbow campaign for us to focus on, join the e-group or anything else then please get in touch. Help to get Rainbow off the ground and into the sky! Email Carly Walker-Dawson – carlywalkerdawson@gmail.com (Woodcraft Rainbow Network Coordinator)
*Calling participants: ‘Queer Easter’ – 6 April to 13 April 2009*
Queer Easter is one of our annual seminars hosted by the German Falkens on behalf of the International Falcon Movement – Socialist Education International (our international organisation) and friends.
The event is a week over the Easter break for all young people aged 16 to 35 who would be interested in exploring the issues of sex, sexuality and LGBT rights. The event is open to all people whether you are gay, straight or undecided.

The week involves getting to know over 100 new falcons and international Woodcraft friends from around Europe and the Middle East though seminars and workshops. The seminar will focus on our 10 years in education on Queer issues and whether Queer is right, what we have to look forward to in the future and putting LGBT issues in a human rights context.
As well as learning loads, this extravaganza will include partying, tours of Berlin, an evening event in the city and at the Education Centre. All bed and board in the Kurt Lőwenstein Education Centre is only €65 (£60) for the week including the trip to Berlin and the tours. Make sure that you don’t miss out and book soon!
Woodcraft only has limited places (around 7) and if you want get cheep trains or plains then the sooner you book the cheaper it is – make sure that you email either Carly Walker-Dawson at carlywalkerdawson@gmail.com or Lloyd Russell-Moyle at lloyd_r_m@btinternet.com.
Priority is given to people who haven’t attending an international seminar before, but we welcome interest by any and everyone, you will be contacted to confirm details before your place is confirmed.

The District Fellows Movement is the 16-20 year old members of the co-operative educational youth charity, the woodcraft folk, whose ideology is based on the principles of equality, peace, social justice and co-operation, with an emphasis on the empowerment of young people.
DF meetings usually consist of a group of like minded individuals meeting up at a regular time and place (someone's house, or a pub for instance, or even a community hall if the group is large enough) and taking part in usual woodcraft activities. These activities range from co-operative games, orgainising events, workshops and discussions, and general socialising!
The DF movement also meets up on a national basis frequently, to hold both social, educational events and business events allowing everyone to be involved in the running of DF's...
