No Nuclear Future

What is it?

  • A counter attack against the double edged sword of Nuclear Power and Nuclear Weapons.

Why are Woodies involved?

  • The Trident warheads and submarines which are being prepared all over Britain are completely unethical, capable of global annihilation. They directly flout the Nuclear Proliferation Treaty and World Court rulings.

  • Nuclear power represents a convenient smokescreen for developing weapons, a dedication to redundant centralised power sourcing when what we need is localised renewable energy. It would, by the government’s own estimation, provide only 4% of our energy needs by 2025 and offers no solution to the C02 impact of manufacturing and transport.

Both have huge costs (Easily over 100 Billion for the two as the years mount up, not even considering the cost of decommissioning dead power plants)

Woodies are the young people who will inherit these terrible legacies;

we need to fight them now, at their inception!

  • All around us.

Nuclear power sites. The Trident submarine manufacturing network.

How should I help?

  • Again, be ready to immerse yourself in the issues and in action. The complete lack of democratic consultation given to nuclear issues by the British government has left many feeling a need for direct action as well as lobbying and parliamentary pressure.

These activities range from co-operative games, orgainising events, workshops and discussions, and general socialising!

The DF movement also meets up on a national basis frequently, to hold both social, educational events and business events allowing everyone to be involved in the running of DF's...
