What We Do
We are a young person’s charity- as part of the Woodcraft Folk- that encourages outdoor activity and aim to educate and empower young people. There are 3 main events on the DF yearly calendar. They are:
A camping event found early in the new year- like its name would suggest- this tends to be the smallest of the three and has the most program devoted to exploring new skills and ideas. It is known as the back to basics event- camping, fires and workshops, with a healthy dash of socialising. We don’t have anyone to coordinate this year’s event, so if you fancy it, why don’t you contact our Events Rep?
The week long camping event of the year, DF Camp, is a greater mix of social, training and development. DF Camp tends to be a hurly burly of things to do , new people to meet and food to cook. If this event has taken your fancy then send your questions/comments/love here.
The final DF event of the year WW is generally held in a large building- as it is really cold – some where in the country side. WW is predominantly a social event where DFs can get together and see each other one more time before the year ends. Although WW doesn’t stretch over New Year we tend to have a private celebration a few days early. If you feel the need to have a say on this event then go to the discussion group or email here.
