Welcome to the world ofIt’s an exciting place to be, for sure, with issues coming out four times a year, each full of stuff so appealing that you could literally eat it. At the moment, your editor is kate bowman, but the role will change at Althing this year when a new person gets elected. The DF News editor is independant from committee following a motion that was passed at the last Althing, so they can print whatever they want, really. There are a few regular things that you can expect to see in each issue- event information, campaigns news , committee contact details, regional reports (depending on whether any regional development workers actually write any…) Thats all I can think of right now, but I am sure that there is more. At the moment, anyone can help with the editing if they get in touch with the editor, or anyone can write/draw anything to be published. In fact, PLEASE do that. Any contributions to dfzine@spanthatworld.com. What more can I say? DF News is online, so just dive in everybody…

The District Fellows Movement is the 16-20 year old members of the co-operative educational youth charity, the woodcraft folk, whose ideology is based on the principles of equality, peace, social justice and co-operation, with an emphasis on the empowerment of young people.
DF meetings usually consist of a group of like minded individuals meeting up at a regular time and place (someone's house, or a pub for instance, or even a community hall if the group is large enough) and taking part in usual woodcraft activities. These activities range from co-operative games, orgainising events, workshops and discussions, and general socialising!
The DF movement also meets up on a national basis frequently, to hold both social, educational events and business events allowing everyone to be involved in the running of DF's...
