Old/New

Old/New Is the event where the Old Committee hand over to the New Committee, as the name implies. Its also when the committee members knon as “Other” get given speicfic roles in a brutal hustings and discussion process; Chair, Vice Chair, Treasuer all get discussed and elected late into the night at Old/New. Finally it is the event where every motion passed at althing is on the agenda and committee thrash out how to impliment them.

We met in a secret location in a secret town code named Sheffield, where the new kids on the block were granted the chance of taking over the jobs of the old committee. things (and Things) were decided, stuff was amended and tea was made, and there was much rejoicing. The secret house (did I mention the house is secret) had a secret kettle and sets of rooms with double beds.

Once everyone had arrived there were games and introductions and much rejoicing. Then it was time for work, then games. Than the weekend went on a lot like that, until there was jelly which is also secret. And some more games.
When  the work was all done, we went for a midnight stole in the dark and scary field with a Mexican hoarse and then the mist rolled in and it became that little bit more creepy and ere. But we all got back fine and no one got lost.
Thanks to all that came ,it was fun. but most of all thanks liam for organising it all.
