London Thing Business

A full report on the London Thing experience will we coming along soon.

But, for now here is a report about the business.

Due to time constraints we couldn’t discuss the entire Agenda, but here is what we could fit in:

London, isn’t it amazing

• How can we better connect the people at London Unis to the rest of London Woodies?
• How can we encourage Londoners to volunteer in their districts? We’re going to add a “District Helpers Wanted” page to the regional sections.
• How can we encourage more London Folk to get involved nationally?

MEST-UP

• Only full trained MEST-UP people can volunteer at DF events
• For more info contact Projects rep, Emily.

• They’re looking pretty good. For more information check out the events page.
• Booking is now open for Bristol and Midlands.
• To volunteer to run a workshop or for any other questions email  jasminekspencer@hotmail.com for Bristol and f_poi@yahoo.co.uk for Midlands.

Blank Canvas

• Sadly it’s been cancelled this year, not enough bookings.
• The wider Woodcraft movement is running some similar events this year, hopefully we can help them out.

New Roots Fund

• There’s a lovely form coming along.
• The action group is working hard to make this the best fund EVER. If you would like to join them you can email df-roots-fund@googlegroups.com

Challenge of the Month

• Shall have no prizes, only the gratification and recognition of a job well done.

Df Camp Dates

• We must avoid everything in this order: Exam results, Regional Holidays, Worker’s Beer Festivals, Other Woodcraft Events, The Olympics.
• New dates will be announced shortly.
• A plan will be made to make travel cheaper around the Olympics.
