All Hallows Eve! Whatever you make of this night, whether you carve your pumpkin, loiter in the shadows, steer well clear or hang about in gaveyards i’m sure you will join us in welcoming our newest member from the North of England, James.

James’s membership marks a big step forward for The District Fellows Movement in terms of inclusion as he is the first pumpkin member we have had since the movement began in the late 70s. That relationship ended in an ugly dispute that went right the way to General Council after a certain “pie incident”

This photo was taken on a DF group camping night and clearly shows the warmth with which he has been included in regular district activities.

Being a pumpkin lantern, James can’t actually stop smiling but something tells me he is genuinely enjoying this traditional Hebden Bridge licking.
If you would like to have a go at welcoming some pumpkins into your districts please do. You may feel the pumpkins would feel more at home with a DF Logo carved into their faces in which case all the tools you need are in the Branding Section!
Happy Haloween

The District Fellows Movement is the 16-20 year old members of the co-operative educational youth charity, the woodcraft folk, whose ideology is based on the principles of equality, peace, social justice and co-operation, with an emphasis on the empowerment of young people.

These activities range from co-operative games, orgainising events, workshops and discussions, and general socialising!
The DF movement also meets up on a national basis frequently, to hold both social, educational events and business events allowing everyone to be involved in the running of DF's...
