THINGS

“Things” are the backbone of The District Fellows Movement. They are weekend residential events where DFs come together with DF Committee to thrash out the bits and pieces that make up the running of the movement.

Formerly known as ‘forums’ the Thing has come on a long way: the highest numbers ever, and 2 regional committees spawning from East and Welsh Things. The next one is always something to get excited about.

Coming to a Thing is the best way to get your voice heard and make the movement your own. The cost of attending a Thing is heavily subsidised by DF Committee to make them as accessible as possible. Not only that but your first ever Thing will cost you NOTHING AT ALL!! – it’s totally free.

Things have a strong balance of engaging discussion and intense fun. 2008′s South West Thing was described as “Blooming good all round, was great to get involved with progressing the movement and to romp about the venue building forts out of mattresses – my favourite event so far!!”

Things move around the country from region to region being organised by the local Regional Reps, so there should be at least one nearish your home.

If you want to add something to an agenda then email the Chair of DF Committee or any other Committe member. If you want some info about the venue, food or other programme or indeed, the agenda then email the relevant member of Regional Council.
