Span That World WITH MUSIC

The Time Is Upon Us!

Its just a few days to go untill the almighty weekend of music, people and passion sweeps the country. Span That World WITH MUSIC is a series of synchronised day long gigs hosted by DFs that happen simultaneously around the country and beyond bringing people together.

Leamington Spa / Midlands - Lucy Clarke

Flavour: A glorious tea party in a cafe with chillded out acoustic music in aid of Amnesty International
Time & Date: 4pm – 6pm, Sunday 28th Feb
Venue: The Olive Cafe, Near the Royal Priors, Leamington Spa

Flavour: 2 stages each with its own line up of brilliant musicians. Expect to dance the night away.

Flavour: An epic night of music, projections, standup comedy, fairylights and toast

Flavour: An ecclectic blend of music from social comentary to orchesteral jazz. Bradford’s gig will jump between venues for the climax of the night!

Flavour: Chilled out to begin with, with lovely scottish meets spanish acoustic singing and alternative waves, but then things should hot up and turn into an eclectic dance and music night – get excited!

Cambridge – Nancy Bending Beckett

Flavour: A Rag-Tag home grown, hands on evening of good food, good music but most of all good company. Like an open mic but more friendly! Grab your Kazoo and head on down.
Time: 5:30 – 10:00, Sunday 28th Feb.
Venue: The Cafe Project, Jesus Lane, Cambridge

Span That World With Friendship

The District Fellows Movement is the 16-20 year old members of the co-operative educational youth charity, the woodcraft folk, whose ideology is based on the principles of equality, peace, social justice and co-operation, with an emphasis on the empowerment of young people.

DF meetings usually consist of a group of like minded individuals meeting up at a regular time and place (someone's house, or a pub for instance, or even a community hall if the group is large enough) and taking part in usual woodcraft activities. These activities range from co-operative games, orgainising events, workshops and discussions, and general socialising!

The DF movement also meets up on a national basis frequently, to hold both social, educational events and business events allowing everyone to be involved in the running of DF's...
