Imagine this...with a few more tents and people : )

DF Camp Dates: 23 – 30 July 2010
Venue: Devon
Coordinators: Nikki and Gina Tomkins
Contact: dfcamp2010@gmail.com

You’re walking through a wood; pine cones splintering beneath your feet, the straps of your stuffed backpack squeezing at your skin. An orange vango tent peeps through the foliage, some technicolour bunting is strewn high above your head; murmurs of joyful conversation and rootsy dubstep grow in volume… ‘Welcome home!’, someone shouts. ‘Why this pretentious GCSE English prose?’ You wonder, quite rightly. Well sir! It’s very hard indeed to convey the brilliance of our annual summer camp without an overly verbose array of terminology. But I guess I should try harder:

DF Camp

DF camp is over 100 political engaged, party-hungry, co-operatively
minded young people (16-25!) coming together for a week of camping,
outdoor shenanigans, workshops, hoedowns, raves and relaxation.

I can pretty much guarantee that DF Camp will be the best week of
your summer, nay, your life.

WATCH THIS SPACE as details of this event are updated daily.

This camp NEEDS YOU!

Got a brilliant idea that you want to share?

Want to run a workshop, coordinate a wide game, set up a centre?

We need anyone and everyone who wants to get involved to get in touch! In particular we need KPs (cooks) and KEs (Keepers of the environment) as well as anyone who wants to be involved in making this event magical.

Big love and blue blue skies, DF Camp X

Span That World With Friendship

The District Fellows Movement is the 16-20 year old members of the co-operative educational youth charity, the woodcraft folk, whose ideology is based on the principles of equality, peace, social justice and co-operation, with an emphasis on the empowerment of young people.

DF meetings usually consist of a group of like minded individuals meeting up at a regular time and place (someone's house, or a pub for instance, or even a community hall if the group is large enough) and taking part in usual woodcraft activities. These activities range from co-operative games, orgainising events, workshops and discussions, and general socialising!

The DF movement also meets up on a national basis frequently, to hold both social, educational events and business events allowing everyone to be involved in the running of DF's...
