Ways to Volunteer

There are lots of  different ways DFs can volunteer in their local districts or regions,  including doing things like running group nights for younger ages, planning programme or just lending a hand at camps, helping with the district website or creating publicity materials, even taking on roles like District Coordinator. Also, volunteering on a working weekend at one of  our Woodcraft centers/camp sites across the country. Find your nearest center here  and get in touch!

Having help from DFs can often be really great for districts, as they can help to bridge the gap between older leaders and younger people and bring new ideas and energy to activities. Working with younger age groups is also a really great way to develop youth leadership skills and confidence.

The TREE project has produced resources to encourage and develop youth leadership within Woodcraft, which you can find here.
